In what is being considered quite a risk the New Meadownlands Stadium will host the 2014 SuperBowl after the owners voted on Tuesday. New York won the SuperBowl right over Miami and Tampa Bay. There is a so-called "weather rule" for possible Super Bowl cities, however that rule was waived for the New Meadowlands Stadium. The NFL has required an average temperature of 50 degrees or a dome for a team to even bid on hosting the Super Bowl, but the league bent the rule to let New York make its pitch.

Personally I must say this is a bad idea I feel attendence of the game will suffer. Who wants to pay a minimum of $500 per ticket to sit in frigid temperatures for 3-plus hours.
