Sorry guys the hustle and bustle of holiday season really caught up to me and it was now that I'm watching the 24 hours of a christmas story, cleaning the house for family tomorrow, and finishing up on presents the thought of my weekly update slipped into my mind. I didn't even get to think about it with all I've been doing. So with that in mind this will be a little different as I'll drop some short quick hits for this week's game.
First off - Must win, that really goes without saying but this team got lucky to get out of the game last time with Washington with a win. I think things will be better this time around as Washington looks about ready to fold up and go home but never underestimate how much that rivalry means to them.
Run, Run, Run - The running game was good against the Saints and running will help set up the pass. Last time the Redskins secondary did a pretty salty job against the Cowboys passing game, and the ability to run the ball will help set up the pass.
Under Pressure - Pass rush was spectacular last week and needs to be again this week. I realize Jason Campbell was sufficient against the Cowboys last time but he's basically Quincy Carter without the drug habit. Pressure him and he will fold. He's also likely to give you a couple of free points if that happens.
Finish - Finish blocks, finish plays, finish drives, finish the game. It's going to be a hell of a war against the Eagles and we need to go in with as much confidence as possible. Burying the Redskins is the best way to do this.
Sorry for the quick thoughts but I think Dallas gets it together quicker than they did last time. It wont be a blowout in my opinion but Cowboys win comfortably 20-6.
Merry Christmas, and happy holidays to you all. Everyone please be safe and stop by to check out the live blog for this weekend's game.
