There aren’t any defensive backs chasing Dez Bryant during the NFL’s lockout.

However, bill collectors are still in hot pursuit of the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver.

Although Bryant told the Associated Press over the weekend that he has a handle on his situation and “it’s done,” Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas has turned up something very different.

In fact, according to Watkins’ report Bryant still owes more than $600,000 and is facing an ongoing lawsuit. Specifically, Bryant owes a Colleyville, Texas, jeweler and ticket broker more han $600,000, attorney Beth Ann Blackwood said.

Per the report, Bryant has been spending big since his sophomore year at Oklahoma State. He wants to use a $1 million roster bonus when the NFL lockout concludes to help him settle his debts.

Why do we have a sneaking suspicion trouble isn’t going to remain far from Bryant?
