An extra day to rest this week with the Dallas Cowboys playing on Monday night will only help Tony Romo.
The quarterback sat out practice today but is expected to start when his team hosts the Washington Redskins in an NFC East showdown.
According to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas, Romo underwent a CT scan today to examine the punctured lung he suffered last Sunday at San Francisco. Per the report, the hole s small and sources say it will heal up on its own in the next few days.
“I fully expect (Romo) to play," backup quarterback Jon Kitna said after running the offense in practice today.
