University of Colorado offensive tackle Nate Solder is scheduled to visit the Washington Redskins next week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation,
He visits the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday and Friday.
He visited the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.
And Solder has previously visited the New England Patriots.
A consensus All-American selection, Solder is one of the top offensive tackle prospects and projected to be drafted in the top half of the first round.
The 6-foot-8, 307-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.96 seconds at the NFL scouting combine.
The Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times and registered a 32-inch vertical leap.
Solder was a finalist for the Outland Trophy and an All-Big 12 Conference selection.
Solder gained weight after playing tight end initially at Colorado. He played tight end, defensive end and linebacker in high school, arriving at Colorado as a 6-foot-7 1/2, 245-pound freshman.
And NFL teams would like to see Solder bulk up even more, but love his athleticism and long arms.
Solder allowed just five sacks and 21 quarterback pressures in three seasons.
He played in the Senior Bowl.
Solder has power cleaned 415 pounds for three repetitions, hang-cleaned 473 pounds for three repetitions, squats over 600 pounds and was measured with eight-percent body fat.
