MINNEAPOLIS - The NFL and its locked-out players have wrapped up talks for the day after more than 15 hours of discussions.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Arthur Boylan says the two sides will resume negotiations at 8 a.m. Friday.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA head DeMaurice Smith were joined by owners and players at a law firm in Minneapolis on Thursday. The two have met for three days in a row in talks overseen by Boylan.

The July 4 holiday weekend has been floated by some of the members of their respective parties as a rough target for a new labour deal.
