According to a NewYorkJets.com report, auditions for the 2012 Flight Crew cheerleading squad begin on April 21, 2012.
The Jets' Flight Crew is just one of the many NFL cheerleading and dance squads already gearing up for the 2012-13 season.
Here's a look around the NFL at the top five hottest cheerleading teams in the league:
The prestigious and iconic Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad has been a fixture in the NFL since the 1960s.
Each year, they release a swimsuit calendar and the team is often featured on various Cowboys merchandise like t-shirts, posters and playing cards. The Cowboys' cheerleaders even have their own reality television show that has appeared on Country Music Television (CMT) since 2006.
Over 130,000 people "like" the official Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders page on Facebook, and the group has their own website at www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com.
2) Saintsations
The Saintsations are a cheerleading and dance squad that performs at New Orleans Saints football games.
Auditions for the 2012 team will take place on April 25 at the UNO Human Performance Center. Since New Orleans is slated to host Super Bowl XLVII, this will be a big year for the Saintsations.
With Drew Brees still handling the snaps for the Saints, there's a very real chance that his team will get to play a Super Bowl in front of hometown fans in the City of New Orleans.
Not only are the Miami Dolphins' cheerleaders super hot, they are also extremely charitable.
This month, several Dolphins cheerleaders participated in two 5K walks benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that fulfills dreams of terminally ill children.
"Participating in these walks has been an incredible experience," said Dolphins cheerleader Carolina. "The Make-a-Wish children are given a wish of their choice that may be something that many take for granted such as visiting Magic Kingdom, meeting a famous athlete or even attending a Miami Dolphins game. Volunteering to run the Make-a-Wish 5Ks allowed me to get involved in fulfilling their dreams."
4) Flight Crew
The Flight Crew is a cheerleading and dance squad that performs at New York Jets games. The New York Giants share MetLife Stadium with the Jets, but they don't have a cheerleading squad at all, giving the Jets the advantage in that category.
This squad deserves a lot of credit, as they often perform in brutal wintry weather conditions. Auditions for the 2012 squad are slated for April 21, 2012.
The Atlanta Falcons cheerleading squad has been featured everywhere from swimsuit calendars to Maxim magazine. This group is chock full of adorable southern belles, but my favorite is the stunning Margaret, a Birmingham, Alabama native, who has been with the Falcons cheerleading squad since 2008.
