After a rough start to the 2011 NFL season, Dallas Cowboys fans have every reason to celebrate their big win over the St. Louis Rams. Yes, the Rams have not won a game yet this year and yes, they were without their starting quarterback Sam Bradford. However, a win is a win and this was Dallas' most consistent effort so far this season.

Passing Offense

Tony Romo went 14-for-24 in passing with 166 yards and two touchdowns. It was his lowest output on the season, mostly because the game was a blowout. However, his 58-percent completion rate was not that great against the Rams defense. One big moment in the game was the emergence of Dez Bryant, who enjoyed his best production of the season. He caught five passes for 90 yards and a touchdown, and even more important, he caught three in the second half, a period he has been invisible at most of the season. As a result, Miles Austin was invisible this entire game. GRADE = B

Rushing Offense

This is a tough one. For one thing, DeMarco Murray enjoyed his breakout game, breaking the Dallas Cowboys record for rushing yards with 253. He also scored a touchdown. Now, if you want some scary numbers, Felix Jones has 255 rushing yards on the season with one touchdown. Murray ran for two less yards in one game than Jones has run for the entire season. However, Tashard Choice, the player who "started" the game, carried the ball twice and fumbled once. GRADE = A

Passing Defense

Remember that I am ranking the Dallas pass defense against a winless team relying on their backup quarterback. The pass defense had a sack, an interception and two forced fumbles. A.J. Feeley finished the game 20-for-33 for 196 yards and no touchdowns. It was a successful day for the Cowboys D and the sack was DeMarcus Ware's eighth of the season. GRADE = A

Rushing Defense

Steven Jackson ran for 70 yards and a touchdown. Out of those 70 yards, Jackson ran for 40 on one play. Outside of that one play, Jackson averaged 1.7 yards a carry against the Cowboys rush defense. GRADE = B+

Special Teams

Dan Bailey has made 16 consecutive field goals and one of the Cowboys historical problem areas is now a strength. Mat McBriar is also a great punter and was solid again on the day. GRADE = A

Author Shawn S. Lealos has followed the Dallas Cowboys since he was a child, his favorite players range from Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett to the Triplets of the 90s. Through the great years of the '90s and the hard times of the '80s, Shawn never turned his back on America's Team.
