The 2011 Super Bowl is right around the corner, even if we don't know the teams yet. This 2011 Super Bowl viewer's guide is intended to provide any information you might need to enjoy the game if your team ends up battling for the championship this year.

Black Eye Peas Halftime Show

Super Bowl 2011 Date

The 2011 Super Bowl will take place on Sunday, Feb. 6. That will be the weekend after the 2011 Pro Bowl take place in Hawaii, and will give teams about two weeks to prepare after the conference championships take place.

Super Bowl 2011 Location

The 'Big D' is hosting the Super Bowl this year, with the game taking place in Cowboy Stadium. Jerry Jones will have front row seats to see the AFC and NFC champions battle it out, but it is unfortunate for the area that the Dallas Cowboys couldn't end up being one of the teams playing. Cowboys Stadium is located in Arlington, Texas, and this will mark the third Super Bowl to take place down in Texas.

Super Bowl 2011 Halftime Show

The Black Eyed Peas will play the halftime show at this year's Super Bowl, giving fans a chance to see quite an exciting show. It's not the familiar type of group for many football fans, especially those that love to see rock bands take center stage, but the Black Eyed Peas could certainly bring in an audience interested in staying in their seats (at home) when they take the stage. The group was already part of the 2005 Super Bowl halftime show, so this should be an even cleaner performance for them.

Super Bowl 2011 TV Station and Kickoff Time

Super Bowl XLV will be shown on Fox, with plenty of pre-game show coverage intended to give fans a great look at both teams taking the field. Super Bowl kickoff time is set for 3:25 pm PST / 6:25 pm EST, but it typically takes a few minutes after the expected start time for the game to finally get going.
