The bye week came at a good time for the Dallas Cowboys as they were able to use the week to heal up with wide receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant returning to the practice field.

Austin hasn’t played in two games with a pulled hamstring, and cornerback Orlando Scandrick was also back in action, according to the Dallas Morning News. Scandrick has been sidelined with a high-ankle sprain since the season opener.

"I think we did a good job of battling through some of the injuries, the individual players fighting through it themselves, but also the backup players, trying to take advantage of their opportunities," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. "But having said all of that it's better to have the guys, your starters back out there practicing and moving toward playing in the game on Sunday."

Now, the Cowboys have to see if they can even out their play. Their record should certainly be better at this point. Hopefully, the bye week also gave them time to get better on the field too.
