IRVING, Texas (AP)—The Dallas Cowboys are so close to another NFC East title, and there have been a lot of close games.
Five of their losses are by an average margin of four points. The one lopsided blemish is a 34-7 loss at Philadelphia, who the Cowboys (8-6) play Saturday at home.
Even though Dallas clinches the division outright by winning its last two games, owner Jerry Jones uncharacteristically expressed being scared of the Eagles during one of his weekly radio appearances this week. He has that feeling because of how Philadelphia won in October.
Maybe Jones also remembers the 2008 season finale the Cowboys lost 44-6 at Philadelphia to get left of the playoffs.
