America’s Team, as the Dallas Cowboys like to bill themselves, will be on the move for training camp.

Training camp will be held in Oxnard, Calif., for the next three summers if an agreement is finalized with the city, the Dallas Morning News reported. The Cowboys were in San Antonio this summer and in 2010 they split time between San Antonio and Oxnard, a wild journey that many blamed for the team’s 1-7 start to the season.

"San Antonio and Oxnard have provided absolutely outstanding settings for every single aspect of our training camps for the past 10 years," Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said. "We look forward to going back to California next year. We are also exploring avenues to have a continued Dallas Cowboys presence in San Antonio, because it has always been a special home for the Dallas Cowboys. The support of the City and the fans in San Antonio are outstanding."

The Cowboys could hold preseason practices in San Antonio to maintain a presence there.
