Sean Lee and the Dallas Cowboys will have to make a decision when it comes to his dislocated wrist.
The emerging star linebacker suffered the injury early in Sunday night’s loss at Philadelphia and it’s possible Lee will not return this season. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports Lee has received varying medical opinions to this point, and the only thing that’s know right now is Lee will not play this week against the Seattle Seahawks.
Per the report, some doctors believe Lee should have surgery that would end his 2011 season. Others believe he can play with a cast on the injury. If he has surgery, he would be sidelined six to eight weeks, which would most likely end the season for him with nine weeks remaining.
Lee and the Cowboys need to determine what is best for the linebacker’s bright future. Unfortunately for a struggling football team, that might mean missing half the season.
