The news keeps getting worse for the Buffalo Bills, as star running back Fred Jackson is out for the season with a fractured fibula.

According to the Buffalo News, Jackson was placed on injured reserve with the injury.

The Bills, who have lost three straight, claimed running back Tashard Choice off waivers from the Washington Redskins to fill Jackson's spot on the roster. The Bills mark Choice's third stop this season, as he began the year with the Dallas Cowboys.

Jackson had emerged as the key cog in the Bills' offense with 934 yards rushing and another 442 yards receiving. Even with the claim of choice, former first-round pick C.J. Spiller is likely to get the bulk of the workload in the running game.
