Although the 2010 NFL season isn't over yet, there are already plenty of memorable Dallas Cowboys moments. Every Dallas Cowboys season provides a lot of memorable moments, and 2010 may have had more than usual. There's been a lot going on at Valley Ranch, with personnel changes, attitude changes, and a season that's had its share of highs and lows.

Here are five top Dallas Cowboys moments through week 14 of the 2010 NFL season.

Coaching change

I've been a Cowboys fan for years, and had never before wanted a coaching change as much as I wanted this one. I didn't think Wade Phillips should have been back for the 2010 season; the bad start and poor play by the Cowboys convinced me more than ever that he needed to go.

Although he said he'd never do it, Jerry Jones fired Phillips in November, after the Cowboys lost to the Green Bay Packers by a score of 45-7. Jason Garrett was named interim head coach, and he immediately went about putting his stamp on the team. Thank heavens.

Cowboys win in Jason Garrett's first game as interim head coach

In the days prior to the week 10 game, the Cowboys had a lot going on. They lost their coach, and had only three days of practice under the new coach who instituted new rules and procedures. There was a lot of speculation and uncertainty about the team and the new coach, and they were going to New York to play the Giants, who had already beaten them in their prior meeting.

While nobody knew quite what to expect of this game, it's certain it wasn't the Cowboys beating the Giants 33-20. They looked like a totally different team from the one that had been on the field in the previous eight weeks, and Cowboys fans everywhere had a lot to be happy about. This game was definitely a top Dallas Cowboys moment for the season.

Jon Kitna playing good football

When Tony Romo broke his collarbone in October, this fan, and I'm sure a lot of others, started thinking a bad season might be getting a lot worse, with 38-year-old Jon Kitna as backup.

But Kitna got his groove on, and became pretty good for the Cowboys. He's performed like a player in his prime, using both his arm and his feet to get the job done. Kitna's thrown 13 touchdowns, run 26 times for 129 yards, scored a touchdown and numerous first downs, and still has three games left in the season (unless Tony Romo makes it back).

Big plays by Dez Bryant and Bryan McCann

These two players provided the Cowboys big-play potential. Every time they get the ball the possibility for something huge is there, which makes watching Cowboys football a lot of fun, and every big play becomes a top Dallas Cowboys moment for me.

Jesse Holley is promoted from the practice squad

This is my favorite moment from the Dallas Cowboys' season. I love all things Dallas Cowboys, and watched "4th and Long", Michael Irvin's reality show that gave Holley a shot at making the team.

I wanted him to win, was thrilled when he did, and when he made it to the practice squad. When he got the call to join the team, I couldn't have been much happier if he'd been a member of my family or a personal friend. His story inspires me, and every time I see him on the field I get chills.

Picking top Dallas Cowboys moments is difficult for me, because they always seem to be making more, and that's one of the reasons I love the Cowboys.
