AEG, the entertainment company hoping to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles, is slated to announce today that they have negotiated a $700 million naming rights deal, according to the Los Angeles Times.

That would help spur forward an effort to bring football back to Hollywood. AEG owns the Staples Center and L.A. Live complex. Per the report, the 30-year deal is with Farmers Insurance and the stadium would be called Farmers Field.

The stadium hasn't been built yet, but billionaire Phillip Anschutz isn't expected to have problems getting it done. A news conference is set for today. AEG will still have to compete with real estate tycoon Ed Roski and lure an NFL team to go to Los Angeles.

"If I'm a fan in L.A., I have to be really encouraged," Dallas Cowboys executive Stephen Jones said. "You've got to be encouraged that there is a real chance for football there. Every owner to a man thinks that we've got to have a team in the second-largest market in the country."
