The X-rays on the left foot of San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree were negative Sunday but that didn't stop it from hurting. "It hurt so bad I was concerned," Crabtree said, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Coach Jim Harbaugh took Crabtree out in the second half. He's had two surgeries on the foot, the most recent coming in July. That made him miss most of training camp and he only got in three full sessions of practice with the team, the paper notes. Crabtree was in Sunday's game for 16 snaps, the Bee reports, and had one reception for four yards.
"Coach did a good job letting me know (he was taking him out)," Crabtree said, according to the Bee. 'He'd seen me limping. I was trying to hide it, trying to stay on the field. It is what it is."
Crabtree thinks he'll back in the lineup against the Dallas Cowboys next week, the paper reports.
