Ok folks,

It seems there is plenty of interest in having yet another UnderTheArches.com FFL. I am definitely up for it. I would like to use this thread as the primary discussion. I have noticed people leaving comments about the scoring system and payouts in the 2009 thread.

Please use this thread to discuss these issues now. Please indicate the following if you are interested in playing:

1. Would you like to continue using ESPN as our platform

2. How should scoring be adjusted

3. Payout percentages

4. Entry Fee's

5. Number of teams

I believe we will have a few spots to feel in this years league or we can drop the number of teams participating. Over the weekend I will get the 2009 league rolled over to a 2010 league on ESPN.com if the decision is to keep ESPN as our platform.

1. I have to say I would really prefer using Yahoo instead of ESPN. I think the Yahoo site is easier to use, especially when updating rosters on your phone (since a lot of us are at the games on Sunday morning early that can be very handy). ESPN has a ton of great resources and I am always on there reading their articles, etc, so if you guys want to stick with ESPN that is ok with me. I just thought I would throw the idea out there.
2. I am with the scoring system as is. As long as we all go into the draft knowing the rules you simply adjust your draft picks accordingly.

5. I think we need at least 10 teams. I actually prefer 12-14 though. It is obviously a much thinner league, but with 14 everyone can play everyone else once in the regular season in weeks 1-13 and then the playoffs weeks 14-16.

I have no rule change suggestions but the ccomplaint that some teams that are out of the running sometimes quit turning in a lineup is a valid one. This is a common problem in all leagues that I am in. I think that the commish should talk with anyone quilty of this and ask that they not repeat the action or give there spot to someone else interested. And if anyone does it in the future they forfiet there team and the commish would set the lineup for the remainder of the year.

3. Payout percentages - 60 - winner, 20 - runner up, 20 - reg season

4. Entry Fee's - 50

5. Number of teams - 10 to 12

The league has been reactivated on ESPN.com. Please check your email. This week I will send out a mass email to all of last years participants plus others on here who have expressed interest in joining. I am still debating rule changes in regards to the scoring format, etc. However, below is the entry fee and reward payout information:

Teams: Minimum of 12

Entry Fee: $40

Payouts:
Best Record - 20%
League Runner-up - 20%
League Champion - 60%

Draft Type: Live Online after 3rd pre-season game

Draft Order: In reverse order of last years final standings (New teams added to the bottom of rotation)

I suppose if enough people disagree with the above info, we can always change it. And again this year we will use paypal for the entry fee's. Please expect more from me this week. I will be setting up a dedicated web page similiar to last years league where you can pay your entry fee and access the ESPN league page directly from UnderTheArches.com.

And if anyone has any friends who would like to join please have them create an account here and express their interest. We need to get this going. I'd like to have the draft after the 3rd pre-season game.
